Microsoft aims for carbon negative by 2030. Contracted 34 GW of renewable energy across 24 countries as of September 2024. Scope 1 and 2 emissions decreased 6.3% from 2020 baseline. Project Natick underwater data center achieved PUE of 1.12. Six Circular Centers reuse and repurpose hardware. 20-year agreement with Constellation for 835 MW of zero-carbon nuclear; partnership with Helion Energy on fusion research.
