About the Summit

The Green AI Summit, hosted by Harvard Undergraduate AI and Sustainability Group and co-sponsored by Boston University CISE, brings together global leaders, researchers, and innovators to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and sustainability.

With AI rapidly becoming a transformative force across industries, its environmental footprint—from data center emissions to energy-intensive model training—requires urgent attention. The summit tackles these challenges through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops led by industry experts, academic leaders, and policymakers.

A key element is the Sustainable Development Leadership Challenge (SDLC)—a student competition aimed at inspiring a new generation of leaders committed to technological innovation and environmental stewardship.
