PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness)

PUE is the ratio of total facility energy to IT equipment energy. A PUE of 1.0 means all power goes to computing; higher values indicate overhead from cooling, lighting, and other systems. Industry average is ~1.56; leading data centers achieve 1.1–1.2. Lower PUE means better energy efficiency.
